Dandelion Time
In 2020, we awarded a grant of £100,000 towards the renovation of new premises on a 22-acre site in Kent.
Organisation
Dandelion Time works with more than 120 children aged 5 to 14 years old who have been affected by abuse. They use farm-based therapeutic programmes combined with intensive one-to-one emotional support to support beneficiaries to overcome these complex emotional issues, gain confidence and self-esteem, and to better equip them to cope and engage at school, at home and in the community.
CONSTRUCTION project
In March 2020, the charity relocated its Maidstone Centre to a new 22-acre site. When fully developed the site will provide Dandelion Time with a secure and sustainable home from which it can grow to meet the needs of more children and families, now and into the future. The grant was used to help renovate a cottage on the premises to house office space to help with the day-to-day tasks of running the charity. The organisation had raised £35,000 towards their £270,000 budget at the time of application. A grant of £100,000 was awarded.
